Did you ‘just want to learn their names’ and now find yourself streaming MVs on repeat? Does an aegyo make your heart melt? Have you bought CDs even though you don’t own a CD player? How many photocards do you own? This July, celebrate the world of K-pop and its global community of passionate and talented fans as five special guests share readings, reflections, art and dance inspired by this global sensation. Join host Diem Nguyen as we explore fan art with artist Erin Kim, obsess over SHINee’s Taemin with poet and Shawol Anita Solak, hear from performance artist Ari Tampubolon about their TWICE bias, share the girl group love with musician and poet Hannah Wu, and learn how stanning BTS changed curator and self-described #casualfan Sophia Cai’s creative work. Then, dust off your light sticks as Bias Dance Crew take to the stage. Whether you’re a dedicated stan, a casual listener or just curious about this worldwide phenomenon, head to the Wheeler Centre and get ready to ROAR. Hannah Wu will appear via video.
