Seeping into Australia from all directions, Trumpism has contaminated public debate, emboldened local political and religious extremists, diminished Australia's economy and complicated international relations. 

In this eye-opening edition of The Fifth Estate, former White House staffer Kim Hoggard and US political commentator Bruce Wolpe come together to discuss the state of American politics and what Trump’s second term means for Australia - from the vulnerabilities that could see Trumpian politics take hold at home, to the strengths we can draw on to safeguard our democratic, social and political ideals.  

The panel will consider how Australian leaders have responded to Trump’s leadership and offer expert analysis on how our elected officials should chart a path forward with this country’s most important ally. With host Sally Warhaft.
